INTRODUCTION

Freddie Kalaitzis is Theme Lead of machine learning for Earth Observation and Remote Sensing at the Oxford Applied and Theoretical Machine Learning lab (led by Yarin Gal). He is also a machine learning and Project Lead at NASA's Frontier Development Lab (FDL); as well as the machine learning Lead of Trillium Technologies, the R&D production company behind FDL. Previously, his work in the AI for Good team of Element AI enabled NGOs and nonprofits. He co-authored the first technical report in partnership with Amnesty International, on the study of online abuse against women on Twitter from crowd-sourced data. He also led the research on Multi-Frame Super-Resolution, which was awarded by ESA for topping the PROBA-V Super-Resolution challenge.
